Tesla AI unveiled its 2nd generation humanoid Tesla Robot: Optimus Gen 2.
Elon Musk spread the news on X just by typing ‘Optimus’ and adding the video.
(Cool or not, I’m unsure.)
Hand movements and tactile sensing on all fingers look fascinating. Walking faster and consuming less energy sounds great, too. Yet not demonstrating sufficient enough sensational progress on robotic features – except holding eggs and doing squats though! 🙂

Tesla AI introduced Tesla Robot in 2021 with the purpose of the robot as conducting unsafe, repetitive tasks (let’s put it another way: boring routines:). Similar to Tesla automated cars, Tesla Bot operates on an end-to-end neural network. Tesla’s humanoid robots are updated over Wifi as in smartphones. Plus, the control, of course! The cybersecurity is a priority issue for Elon Musk as he’s worried that robots are threats to the world and humans unless mastered with good intention.
